Large lump at bottom of pitch fibre pipe could be where the length of pipe has been supported by a bricks and these are pushing upwards as the drain is pushed downwards

Fibrous roots growing through a joint in a clay drain. The cement joint has probably failed causing the drain to leak which attracts the roots

Slightly misaligned or offset joint in a clay drain

Slightly misaligned or offset joint in a clay drain. This may not necessary leak. These are typical in salt glazed clay pipes with spigot and socket joints.



Medium offset or misaligned joint in a clay drain

Medium offset or misaligned joint in a clay drain. Classed as such as the full thickness of the pipe is visible. Being this misaligned the joint is will probably to leak. The fact that it is so misaligned may indicate the pipe has dropped.



Large offset or misaligned joint in a clay drain.

Large offset or misaligned joint in a clay drain. Being this badly misaligned the joint will almost certainly have failed and will leak. The pipe has moved or dropped creating this misalignment
